She thought he loved her
He didn’t even care
He lived his life
As though she wasn’t even there
She was naive and immature
And needed some one bad
She never thought it would turn out like this
She never thought she was just a fad
A fad in his world
A pawn in his life
He never cared about her
Yet, she still couldn’t see the light
That was guiding her
Away from him
She saw him in the most perfect way
She thought he was never dim
Until it ended abruptly
She never worked it out
That he was using her
There was nothing decent he felt
No real feelings
Towards her at all
He was just waiting for her to get it
And understand it all
But she was so in love with him
That she couldn’t work it out
For if she listened to what her heart was saying
Nothing decent would turn out
So she pretended he was the one
While he played her like a game
Now she’s sorry that she didn’t listen
Now she must deal with her shame
For letting him take her hand
And drag her in the wrong direction
Now she has to deal with the pain
Her life without his affection
